So for my birthday we watched Minority Report<\/i> and I was kind of surprised that one of its big SFX centrepieces was ripped from the terrible<\/b> Keanu Reeves Johnny Mnemonic<\/i> (“Johnny Moronic”) movie from a few year ago. The whole hologram manipulation via datagloves using exaggerated mime-type actions that Tom Cruise uses was done in JM<\/i> by Keanu Reeves when he accessed “cyberspace”.<\/p>\n
After that we went to Green’s<\/a> for a nice meal-with-a-view (no fog!) then hung out for a while in Casanova’s<\/a>.<\/p>\n We also baked a passable Black Forest<\/a> Gateaux<\/a>. Although this initially presented problems until Lisa figured out that few Americans actually know what gateaux<\/i> means. It was crumbly, but the icing held it together.
