So I was looking at a map of the US aquifer system<\/a>. More details here<\/a>. The Ogallala Aquifer that serves Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska<\/a> is nicely outlined. That’s draining quickly. Another generation or two and its Ogallala’s remaining water resources will not be economically viable to extract<\/a>. Bye bye US grain production. Of course, the reduction in Canadian natural gas exports will have destroyed the US fertiliser production long before then<\/a>…<\/p>\n
