Doctors at their Harley Street clinic offered to provide sperm from an anonymous donor, but the couple wanted to use a member of their own family.<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thisislondon.co.uk\/standard\/article-23415279-details\/Sperm+donor+aged+72+to+father+own+grandchild\/article.do\">The baby born to the couple will be the grandfather&#8217;s genetic child and its father&#8217;s half-brother &#8230; keeping the genetic identity of the child similar to their own was a huge factor.
