This kind of refutes (or complicates) a theory I found in The Anatomy<\/a> of Disgust<\/a>, that links actors on big screens with Swift’s Brobdingnagian’s<\/a> skin condition. Being so large, he could see their skin up close and saw it for the festering mess it was. Exactly as the Lilliputians<\/a> had judged Gulliver’s skin while he himself found them exquisitely perfect by virtue of their minuteness.
