Byte, Hypercard, and ANSI C, Oh My!
In 1988 for a school project, I made a Hypercard (“Inspired by a mind-expanding LSD journey in 1985“) stack summarizing hardware sales and costs in every Byte Magazine that had been released to that date (Library had a complete run). How I wish I still had that stack! Fantastic early magazine.
Actually, now remembering, I made the stack to impress my girlfriend. We’d met on Usenet and courted over Unix “talk“screen messaging. Together, we were learning the new Ansi C from the updated K&R book, dissing X.500, and playing AD&D and the Paranoia rpg. That’s how nerds rolled then
