Kabul Falls. Yet Again.

So despite the US saying it wouldn’t take Kabul and the Northern Alliance agreeing as recently as a few hours ago, in the end it was too much to resist so they went in. This is not good for the US in terms of keeping Pakistan on their side… the Northern Alliance being traditional ethnic and military enemies of the Pakistan-backed Taliban regime. Good news for Kabul women though, who can clamber out of the burka if they wish. I hope this time the NA refrains from the mass rapes that characterised its last occupation of Kabul.
