Debka makes great reading, much more exciting than bland old CNN. It’s a far-right Israeli news magazine, prone to running bizarre stuff about smallpox, radiation, and assassins. Now they have a story that Bin Laden has stashed dozens, possibly hundreds, of deep cover operatives in cargo containers bound for Canada, all armed to the teeth with terror info and documents. And they helpfully explain that the Pakistani guy who died in custody in New York was sick from carrying plutonium, along with lots of others. Oh, and the UN is apparently being run by Bin Laden.
And as for questions about its “truth” versus allegedly true organs such as CNN… I now see that at this prison massacre, around 50 to a 100 people were found dead, their hands still tied behind their backs. It’s being reported by mass media as a jail riot. Dead people and people tied up waiting to die do not constitute a “riot”. This whole thing smells fishy. Why were all these people being tied up? Why did “a few” grab guns and suddenly airstrikes are ordered in to wipe them out.
I figure they were being tied up to be executed. The druglord killer who is commander of the NA there, Dostum, denies anyone was being tied up — yeah, right. There were two CIA people there, overseeing. They tried to stop the Northern Alliance people from executing them — apparently US forces have been quite diligent in attempting to talk NA out of summary executions — though not always succeeding. The situation exploded and either the NA or some Taliban killed the CIA guy “Mike”. Then “Dave” escaped and called in a strike to annhilate the fort and “cleanse” the scene. I note several dozen NA soldiers were also among the dead killed by the US bombing raid. This eye witness says the NA troops panicked and started firing after a suicide grande attack by a Taliban prisoner. Although initially the strike was ordered against “400″ rioters, now it seems that there’s only a fraction of that number found dead. The explanation? They must have escaped. I think the number there was exaggerated to justify the intensity of the response.
Incredibly enough, after four days of missile and bombing attacks, at least one Taliban prisoner is still fighting, hiding in the basement, eating horsemeat, and taking potshots at rescue workers. More missiles failed to end this annoying resistance, so SAS and US Special Forces teams have gone in on a search-and-destroy. Will they be surprised if they encounter some of the prisoners still wearing their San Francisco 49ers tops?
But I bet the US and the UK are quaking now that Mary Robinson, ex-Irish President and roving UN HC for Human Rights, has asked for an inquiry and reminded them that their new anti-terrorist measures contravene many elements of the UN Human Rights Charter.
If it takes this much effort to massacre a couple of hundred Taliban prisoners, how hard is it going to be to finish off several thousand Al Qaeda hiding in purpose-built mountain fortresses?

There are so many things wrong with this particularly sticky version of operationalizing psychology. It demonstrates American psychology’s techno fetishism (how could a “vaginal photo-plethysmograph” possibly be wrong?), it selects from within a small, homogenous group that then self-selects for porn non-aversion, it has no control group that test reactions to other visual stimuli, it has no control that tests people’s reactions and feelings about embodied phenomena, and it does not classify the porn to which the women are subjected according to its deployment and presentation of power relations. What a crock.
