    Why not find yourself some Scottish people there and tell them in no uncertain terms that they are not Scottish but “British”. See how many people like it. “British” is about as specific as calling everyone in the Middle East “Semitic”.

    In point of fact, “British” comes from “Pritani”, or “The Painted People”, which was an ancient term of reference for the Belgae tribe in and around Wales and Cornwall.
