A Monopoly addict described by his wife as a sore loser narrowly escaped “going straight to jail” yesterday for punching his stepson, who had beaten him. After pushing the 13-year-old against a wall and punching him, the former army sergeant, 39, who cannot be named for legal reasons, insisted: “You have ruined my life.”
