Using a telephone book, Richard Minsky would target women by pretending he was a loved one who was in jail for a hit-and-run crash and that a witness saw the crime. He would tell the women to meet the witness immediately and persuade him not to testify by flirting and giving the witness sex and money.

There are a lot of tragically dumb people out there.
