Donate To Charity… Go To Jail!
So this guy donates some money to an Islamic charity some time ago. Much later, the charity is accused of funding terrorism (they are suing) and Mike Hawash gets arrested at gunpoint in an Intel parking lot after being outed by an Arab-baiting local newspaper. Meanwhile, a full-on heavily armed anti-terrorist unit invade his house, detain his wife and kids, and trash the place. Now he’s being held, indefinitely, in solitary, and incommunicado, as a “material witness” and his wife is being grilled by grand jury. He’s an Arab-American. Welcome to Bush’s New America.
