On A Mission From God

“President Bush said to all of us: ‘I’m driven with a mission from God. God would tell me, “George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan.” And I did, and then God would tell me, “George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq ” And I did. And now, again, I feel God’s words coming to me, “Go get the Palestinians their state and get the Israelis their security, and get peace in the Middle East.” And by God I’m gonna do it.'”

The source, being a secular person, seems to want to believe that a person in a position of power such as the president of the USA could not, in fact, be a blinkered religious fundamentalist. The story does not dispute the statement of Bush, who apparently worships Sky Gods and is on record as repeatedly affirming this delusion.

Sacre Blue! The biggest opponents to the Iraq war were being made by the UN, France, and the Saddam Hussein! Sacre Blue!

PARIS (AFP) – Jean-Bernard Merimee, France’s former representative at the UN Security Council, was taken into custody by a judge investigating corruption linked to the Iraqi “oil-for-food” programme. Merimee, 68, was being questioned over allegations he may have benefited from oil allocations granted under the programme by former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein between 1996 and 2003. Merimee was France’s UN ambassador from 1991 to 1995. He was then named ambassador to Italy, and from 1999 to 2002 he was a special adviser to UN secretary-general Kofi Annan on European issues. Five people have already been placed under judicial investigation by judge Philippe Courroye in connection with the “oil-for-food” affair. They are Serge Boidevaix, former secretary-general at the French foreign ministry; businessman Claude Kaspereit; Bernard Guillet, an adviser to former French interior minister Charles Pasqua; Gilles Munier, head of an Iraqi-French friendship society; and Palestinian journalist Hamida Nana.

I reject any establishment of religion or theocracy within a demos as counter to the functional efficiency of democracy. That goes for Islamic States, Jewish States, and Christian States. You’re all just different varieties of Abrahamic-obsessed worship to me.

the god head figure features a lot in Bushie’s comments but who is the correct godhead? he seems to think that America have been given a Divine Righteoness in going after people whom they term the evil doers but as history will show its just a few people’s crusade against people they dont understand or are so different from them they never want to understand.
