Autistic Internationalism

a difficulty verging on autism when it came to international opinions that didn’t coincide with their own – a combination more appropriate to the inhabitants of an ethnic slum in the Balkans. A good article on some similarities and differences between the attitudes of US and European citizens.

I particularly liked the examination of how Britain, faced with a massive terorist campaign during the 70s and 80s funded mostly by (fundamentalist and racist Irish-American) groups within the US, did not in fact demand a right of unilateral military retaliation against the United States.
