Lay Me Down To Sleep Under Sweet Monitor Glow

This sucks. Yesterday one of the fuses blew out in my apartment. So me and Lisa spent the night stumbling around in the dark. Which is actually kind of fun but gets old really quickly when the landlord’s flunkies assure me that it’s been fixed, but then I come back home and find the PCs (now plugged in to a different circuit) have all shut down because of a power interruption, and meanwhile the fuse is still out. So I am in bed reading with a damn torch. This is so… Victorian. I am in the middle of a 21st-Century metropolis and I have no incandescent light! The only way to light up the room is to leave the monitors on at a bright setting — hardly energy efficient.
