Roboticised Rats — Ratbots To Become Newest Labour-Saving Trend?

The old sci-fi dream of electrode-implanted, remote-controlled slaves inched a little closer today with the announcement in Nature of a remote-controlled rat. Right now it just understands simple motion and jump commands, but soon, very soon, perhaps there will be a handy “Fetch My Slippers” DogBot? And think of much easier it would be to motivate assembly-line workers!
