Badr v Sadr

Armitage acknowledged that in Najaf, “the Badr Corps, as far as I know independently, have conducted some what I’d call low-level operations against the [Sadr’s] Mahdi Army.” That means we have incurred some debt to SCIRI, which controls the Badr Corps

“SCIRI” stands for the exquisitely named Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq, which is a proxy group for expanionists in Iran. So the US is now leaning heavily on the Iranians to control southern Iraq. Which dovetails nicely with the Iranian Mole Conspiracy.
