Press Your Luck

I like this story. An unemployed ice cream truck driver from Ohio figured out how to beat the simple light pattern on a now-defunct TV show called Press Your Luck, which sounds like a version of one of those wheel-spinning game shows. He borrowed the airfare to LA, got on the show, and won over $100K. In 1984, that was a lot of cash!
