Invading Spain Plainly Not Germane

So Spain has arrested several suspected Al Qaeda terrorists. But EU law forbids the extradition of suspects to barbaric countries where a fair trial or freedom from threat of execution cannot be guaranteed. Unfortunately, this describes the state of justice in the US. So Spanish authorities say there can be no extradition without assurances.

Luckily though, Spain is safe from threat of US bombings or invasion. Apparently, only towelhead countries need be worried about US bombings. This goes right back to something I thought about at the end of September. If Bin Laden was really clever, he’d have gone straight to Sweden and demanded asylum from the US. The legal battles would have taken months, if not years.
