Scrapping The Scrap Dealer Hit

Pentagon now seems to be trying to distance itself from that hit on the Afghani scrap-metal dealers. Now it’s claiming they still “probably” were bad guys, but that in fact it wasn’t a DoD action but that the CIA ordered the assassination.

Well, in fact sneaky way they originally defended it was by one apparatchik saying there are no initial indications that those were innocent locals. Which really means very little.

US journalists were arrested at gunpoint by US soldiers when they tried to go near the site to verify the stories about the assassinated people being civilians, but the civilian stories seem solid.
