Asterix In Iraq

I recall reading Asterix in Britain, where the Romans managed to conquer England, apparently, by the clever strategy of only attacking the Britons while they were taking tea. Imagine my surprise, then, when I read of the cunning US strategy to concentrate attacks during al Sadr’s militia’s naptimes…

US forces announced a curfew Monday from 4 p.m. until 8 a.m. Yesterday, Mahdi Army officials called their own curfew, starting at 1 p.m., when their soldiers finish lunch and take naps. US forces are increasingly launching attacks at this time to take advantage of Mahdi Army vulnerability.
