Those Vagabond Blues

Finally moved into our little apartment in New York. After several months on the road and effectively homeless migrants, this comes as a great relief. Driving a huge U-Haul truck round and round Manhattan looking for parking took about as long as I expected, but was not quite as difficult. I noticed most people giving me a wide berth – they were scared and rightly so! We began the task of extracting our stuff from the boxy prisons it has been contained within for the past 2-3 months and re-assembling out lives into some sort of convenient, customary order. I look forward eagerly to a day when I can find some useful, necessary accessory just by quick habit and not be forced to go on an archeological expedition for 30-60 minutes through layers of boxed sediment. This will take some time…

We also sat in for 3.5 hours while the cable guy installed our new cable internet from RCN. Pretty fast: 7 MB/s download but only ~ 100 Kb/s upload. The upload better improve!
